My name is Tunji. I’ve been a photographer ever since I picked up my first digital camera and my wife, Aby, is the pioneer. This blog is my photography journal where I document my experiences as a wedding photographer. It also inspires and motivates my day to day activities.
My style of shooting is geared towards story-telling and capturing the rich moment in time. I create images that can rekindle memories from life-time events.
I studied engineering and my wife studied accounting. We live our life according to God’s directions and guidance.
I will document each step in our blog as we grow to one of the best wedding photographer in the world. By the way, Tunji Sarumi is pronounced TUN-GEE SAR-RU-ME. To see our portfolio please visit us at http://www.tunjisarumi.com
Aby and I met Jessica and Joseph few months ago and we spent most of the time discussing about soccer . We had so much in common and from that day Abi and I felt as part of their new family.
The wedding took place at the Wayside Inn in Ellicott City, MD. The venue provided warmth and comfort for the 20+ guests as it overlooked a beautiful pond.
Joseph awaits his bride.
I had to run to the groom’s suite to capture this shot. The ceremony took place at the Inn’s porch with about 20 guests.
Beautiful details of the bouquet.
The bouquet was replaced with a soccer ball.
None of the guests attempted to catch the bouquet.
The wedding cake was provided by the Inn .
One of my favorites of the day.
Grab a popcorn, click here to view the slideshow and you gonna love it…
I love the shot overlooking the wedding. Beautiful Job!

Great work Abi and Tunji, you guys were awesome and surely will always be part of our life. Everyone that sees your work want to be associated with you guys. THANK YOU SO MUCH
Last weekend I assisted Chris of LCA Videomakers to shoot an elegant wedding at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in DC. Chris is one of a kind photographer and will recommend him anyday. Chris if you are reading this; thanks for the opportunity once again.
The day started with heavy rain and the ceremony was moved indoor which created a comfortable atmosphere for the guests. Below are few of my favorite detail images from the wedding.
The bouquet.
Captured this program menu to show the essence of the heavy rainy day.
I had the opportunity to shoot one of my favorite couple last month. Isowa and Francis are getting married next month and ever since I watched their proposal video I instantaneously saw how lovely and adorable they are.
I am glad to be covering their wedding and I know that this special day will go smoothly as planned. And I can’t wait to photograph my “most” favorite couple.
Over the past week, we have been working meticulously and expanding our studio space. And 2008 is moving very fast in our favor.
In a day or two I will be blogging about a beautiful couple I adore. Also Aby and I shot a spectacular wedding last weekend that was full of love, intimacy, and joy. Please stay tuned and dance with me.
September 27, 2008 was chosen by Tashana and Glascow to be one of the happiest day in their life. The couple created a beautiful romantic atmosphere for their guests and the day went smoothly as they had imagined.
The couple married at the University of Maryland College Park Memorial Chapel which serve as an intimate and spiritual focal point for the wedding. And It was officiated using African (Nigerian) traditions where the couple participated in a tasting ceremony. After the service we shoot around College Park campus before heading to the reception.
The reception was held at Greenbelt Marriott and the couple, and their guests feasted and danced in the hotel’s beautiful and decorated ballroom which was coordinated by Marriott’s one and only Nana Sapong.
Tashana and Glasgow, thanks again for allowing us to be part of your special day.
Special thanks to my second shooter Hennesseyof Hennessey Green Photography who made the photo coverage smooth. Check him out at http://www.hennesseyg.com
I love the shot of the shoe below. “Pweety” and elegant.
Tashana as she awaits her makeup.
The beautiful bride!!! The bride and groom prepared at the Greenbelt Marriott, MD.
Captured this in a different way. The bride’s awesome gown was made by M’Jourdelle.
And here comes the Groom!!!
Little junior bridesmaids.
I had so much fun with this group and they all look beautiful as usual.
The bride waiting for her father to drive her to church.

Wow! Wow! Wow! That slide show was amazing. You did a spectacular job with that wedding. I don’t know what more you could have done for Glascow and Toshana! They were an impressive group of people at a great wedding and your photos captured the day, but that slideshow takes it over the top. It made me relive the wedding day all over again. Thanks for letting me be a part of it! Even if I did accidentally show up in a couple of pictures!
Do you know that Ellicott City, Maryland was founded in 1772, and it features the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Ellicott Station Museum which is the oldest surviving railroad station in America. Few days ago, I had the opportunity to shoot a SUPER COOL couple, Laura and Roger, in Ellicott City.
We met up at their first date location, the Old Mill Bakery Cafe. Then we shoot around Old Ellicott City before heading to the railroad museum. Laura and Roger will exchange vows next week and the chemistry in their relationship is evident in these photos and I can’t wait to capture more images of this beautiful couple.
Below are a few of my favorite images and slideshow from Laura and Roger’s engagement photo session. Make sure you check out the Caboose!
[...] From the first time my wife and I met Laura and Roger, we could see the great chemistry between them. I had so much fun shooting their wedding plus they had the most exciting guests. View their engagement session HERE [...]
