Last week I photographed a couple that I love and admire for quite some reasons. Mide and Junior is a good friend of ours (my wife and I) for so many years and just capturing one of the happiest days of their life was truly touching. They were surrounded by families and friends and wonderful people that care much about them. The day went perfectly and there was a great cooperation amongst vendor. Two days prior, Aby and I photographed their traditional engagement wedding that took place at Peju’s Kitchen. Below are some of my favorite images from the wedding and big thanks to Abayomi and Folasade for shooting with me. They helped me capture some of the most remarkable images from the wedding. I have so many great words to describe this wonderful group and I am so excited to see all seven beautiful, intelligent and remarkable women grace this website. Les Belles D’ Afrique translated is Beauties of Africa. I loved the photoshoot and hopefully we will work together in the future.
Few years ago, I started my photography hobby as a portrait/fashion photographer. But know, I shoot only weddings. It’s interesting when you set goals and we end up with something far greater than the goals.
Over the weekend, I teamed up with my favorite videographer, Femster, in a fashion shoot. Les Belles D’ Afrique wanted pictures for their newly developed website. The amazing video was produced and composed by Femster. What do you think?
The picture below was taken using a BEAUTY DISH to camera left, an 60″ Octabox to camera right as a fill and a gold reflector below the model’s chin to highlight some of the shadow areas.
As far as the photoshop workflow, the picture was soften to create an evenness around the model’s face and the eyes was enhance to bring the out the deep color.

Over the weekend we had a Before & After party which turns out great. A friend of ours volunteered as a model. This marks our first B&A party and more will be scheduled in the future. Next session will include video and technical explanation on how we achieve each results from setting the studio to photoshop.
After weeks and weeks of planning with one of the new upcoming wardrobe stylist , Olaitan, we were able to finish this TFCD (time for CD/Print) project on time.
